Top 5 Rock & Metal Releases September 16, 23, & 30, 2022

Finally, I’m back! I know, I know, it’s been over a month since my last post but I have been very busy with travel and work and family. Now, it’s time to catch up on the weeks in September that I missed.

While I was on vacation, a lot of music dropped including tons of awesome metalcore from popular and smaller bands such as As Paradise Falls, Confessions of a Traitor, The Devil Wears Prada, Novelists FR, Space of Variations, and Traitors Among Us amongst many others. Within the same few weeks we were also blessed with some stellar deathcore from Art of Attrition, Darko US, and Within Destruction. On top of that, nu metal heavyweights Slipknot and Drowning Pool released new albums as well. However, the goodness doesn’t stop there. The heavy and alternative music communities received loads of other great albums and EPs from dozens of smaller bands that are all worth checking out. Here are my choices.

My next blog post should come out in a couple days covering my 3 top releases from September as well as list all of the releases from the month that I thought were notable. After that, I’m going to take a break for a while from posting every week. At the moment I just don’t have the time to sift through sometimes over a hundred releases each week. I’m planning to post once a month on my favorite albums of the month but I’ll be covering a lot less releases; most likely just the big ones. I also have a few other blog posts written up that I’m waiting to release. You’ll read them soon!
